HC Deb 04 December 1986 vol 106 c722W
Mr. Evennett

asked the Attorney-General what facilities are provided by the Lord Chancellor's Department or otherwise exist for the provision of braille transcripts of documentary evidence and court documents.

The Attorney-General

The Lord Chancellor's Department has no facilities for the provision of braille transcripts. The Royal National Institute for the Blind and a number of other voluntary or commercial organisations provide such a transcription service. It would be for the party concerned to make his or her own arrangements to utilise these.
