§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThis Department held a series of discussions with the former Greater Manchester county council. We are now in contact with the minerals and waste disposal unit set up by the 10 Greater Manchester district councils. The Department is ready to hold any necessary further discussions with representatives of affected councils.
