§ Mr. Alan ClarkNo. The European Community has launched a GATT article XXIII case against Japan on the discriminatory tax and duty treatment of imported alcoholic drinks. We are looking to the Japanese Government for urgent remedial action. If this is not forthcoming I shall press the Community to consider urgently how to pursue further its GATT rights.
