HC Deb 03 December 1986 vol 106 c657W
Mr. Best

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, further to his answer to the hon. Member for Ynys Môn of 24 November, Official Report, columns 267–68, if he will set out the items and amounts of each which constitute the £200,000 in 1986–87 pledged to Cambodia in humanitarian assistance.

Mr. Renton

I regret that there was an error in the answer I gave to my hon. Friend on 26 November and that the figure I gave for humanitarian assistance should have read £100,000 not £200,000 as given. This has been pledged not to Cambodia but to the non-Communist resistance. No final decision has yet been taken on the items to be provided in 1986–87, but we anticipate that, as for last year, medicines will be the major item.
