HC Deb 01 December 1986 vol 106 c464W
Mr. John David Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the British ambassador in Dublin made any representations to the Government of the Republic of Ireland following the attack by terrorists from Irish Republic territory on the joint army/police station in Middletown in the United Kingdom on Sunday, 23 November.

Mr. Eggar

No formal representations were made. There has been co-operation between the Garda Siochana in the Republic of Ireland, and the security forces in Northern Ireland over the incident; and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland has discussed the incident with the Irish Minister for Justice.
