§ The Minister of State for Defence Support (Lord Trefgarne)Throughout the duration of the SDI research programme it is possible that a number of government research establishments will undertake SDI research work funded by the US Government. At this early stage of British participation in the programme, however, it is neither possible nor appropriate to speculate about the number of individual research activities that may arise, where each will be carried out or their eventual total value.
