Dr. Boyson

Information on the religious affiliation of non-industrial staff in Northern Ireland Civil Service was collected last year to enable equality of opportunity to be monitored. I shall be considering, in accordance with the code of practice agreed with the trade unions, how far the data should be disaggregated to provide information on groups such as the staff of Government training centres.

I would ask the hon. Gentleman to await the publication of the first monitoring report which I expect to be available before the summer recess.
