HC Deb 10 April 1986 vol 95 c176W
21. Mr. Ron Davies

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what advice he has sought from the Nature Conservancy Council while reviewing the hill livestock compensatory allowances.

Mr. Gummer

The Nature Conservancy Council was one of the organisations consulted about the Government's proposals for giving effect to the new European Community structures regulation (797/85) under which the hill livestock compensatory allowances are paid. In so far as the Council's comments related to the HLCAs, these were taken into account in the review which preceded the determination of the 1968 rates, the outcome of which my right hon. Friend announced on 28 November 1985.
