HL Deb 14 October 1985 vol 467 cc461-2WA
Lord Boyd-Carpenter

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will give details of the street parking spaces in London reserved for foreign heads of misssions at their residences and offices respectively, including the number of such spaces reserved in each case.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Young)

The provision of diplomatic parking spaces is a matter for the Greater London Council and local authorities. I understand that in the City of Westminster and the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, where the majority of diplomatic missions are situated, there are 172 authorised parking spaces outside diplomatic missions and 37 outside residences.
