§ Mr. David TrippierAccording to my Department's records, there are currently 308 established local enterprise agencies. But no records are maintained on the number supported by local authorities. However the latest directory of enterprise agencies (May 1985) produced by Business in the Community, suggests that at least 169 LEAs are supported (either in cash, or kind, or both) by local authorities. This represents 55 per cent. of the total number of established LEAs as recorded by my Department.
