Member has in mind the letter of 31 October applying on behalf of the Greater Manchester police authority for a redetermination of its expenditure level for 1986–87 which my right hon. Friend set under section 3 of the Rates Act 1984. We are considering this application. My right hon. Friend's decision will be notified to the police authority during December.
