§ Mr. Giles ShawInformation on deaths in fires in dwellings attended by local authority fire brigades is published annually in "Fire Statistics United Kingdom" (tables 58 and 59 of the issues for 1982 and 1983 respectively). The issue of "Fire Statistics, United Kingdom" for 1984 has not yet been published, but provisional figures are given in the following table:
