§ Mr. Norman LamontDeployment of the Ptarmigan system to BAOR commenced at the end of 1984 and it is now operational with the first of the user divisions. It is anticipated that the whole of the 1st British Corps area will be covered by the middle of next year. Spending on the project to date has been approximately £650 million.
