§ Mr. Peter BottomleyRegulations govern the conduct of employment agencies and employment businesses cover advertisements for jobs. Agents must make clear in their advertisements that they are employment agents. If they offer an information service about jobs and have no authority from employers to find workers for such jobs, they must state this in the advertisement. Employment businesses must state rates of pay, the minimum qualifications required to earn them, the nature of the job and its location. They must also state when workers are to be supplied on a self-employed basis only. There are no plans to strengthen or alter this legislation.
