My John PattenOur policy is to encourage the maximum spread of owner-occupation, and the maintenance and improvement of the existing housing stock, while ensuring a vigorous housing association movement.
The Government also hope to introduce legislation to encourage the supply of more homes for renting in the private sector, but probably not during the lifetime of this Parliament.
