HC Deb 22 May 1985 vol 79 c463W
73. Mr. Yeo

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about Britain's relations with Tanzania.

Mr. Rifkind

We have good relations with Tanzania and attach importance to them. President Nyerere's visit to Britain in March as a guest of Government provided an opportunity to hold discussions on a wide range of bilateral and international issues.

A major feature of our relations is our bilateral aid programme which amounted to over £16 million in 1984–85.
