§ 71. Mr. Fisherasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the current debt position of Latin American and African countries.
§ Mr. RifkindA number of countries have made good progress in tackling their individual debt difficulties. The soundest way of easing the problem is to build on this progress. We will continue to co-operate with other Governments, international institutions and banks to tackle the problem in a flexible and effective manner.
