§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, pursuant to his answer of 21 February, Official Report, column 582, concerning economically significant resistant strains in relation to fungicides, what is the economic cost of fungicide resistance to benomyl, carbondazim and thiophonate methyl, respectively; and what are the alternative chemicals in each case.
§ Mrs. Fenner[pursuant to her reply, 14 May 1985, c. 79]: I regret that the information requested concerning the economic effects of resistance of eyespot to the named fungicides could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
Products continaing prochloraz may be used as alternatives to benomyl, carbendazim and thiophanate-methyl to control eyespot on cereals.
