What discussions have taken place with the Royal National Institute for the Blind, the British Refugee Council and the Church of Scotland regarding the Supplementary Benefit (Requirements and Resources) Miscellaneous Provisions Regulations 1985; and what amelioration is proposed of the anticipated hardship arising from the regulations.
§ Baroness TrumpingtonMy honourable friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State will be meeting representatives from the British Refugee Council today and it is hoped to arrange a ministerial meeting with representatives of the Royal National Institute for the Blind. Correspondence has been received from the Church of Scotland and a reply will be sent shortly. No changes are proposed to the Supplementary Benefit (Requirements and Resources) Miscellaneous Provisions Regulations 1985 at this stage, but we shall continue to give careful consideration to all representations received.
