§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list in the Official Report the details of each directive from the EEC since 1979 which is relevant to his Department; and what action he has taken in each case.
§ Mr. MellorAs far as I am aware the only council directives bearing upon matters for which the Home Office has the lead responsibility are the second (COM(81)137) and third (COM(84)348) summer time directives on the starting and finishing dates for summer time. Orders conforming with the provisions of the second directive were approved by Parliament; and will shortly be laid in respect of the third directive.
