§ Mr. Giles ShawMy right hon. and learned Friend has no plans to provide Home Office funding in direct substitution for grants currently made by the GLC or the metropolitan counties. After these authorities have been abolished, crime prevention and victim support schemes will continue to be eligible for financial support from London boroughs and metropolitan districts, and from central Government via the urban programme and the community programme.
