§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on his policy relating to the inclusion of animal dissection and experimentation in school syllabuses.
§ Mr. DunnThe Department has issued advice on the care and maintenance of living animals in schools; the use of such animals is normally restricted to observation of behaviour and growth and to husbandry. I refer my hon. Friend to the answer on dissection which I gave yesterday to the hon. Member for Newham, North-West (Mr. Banks).
