§ Rev. William McCreaasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many persons have been released in converted terrorist supergrass trial cases in the Province.
§ Mr. ScottNinety-nine persons have been acquitted since 1982 following trials or appeals in cases where the evidence of a former accomplice was presented on behalf of the Crown. Information on how many of these were released on their acquittal could be obtained only at a disproportionate cost.
§ Rev. William McCreaasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) if he will name those convicted and imprisoned because of evidence given by converted terrorists;
(2) if he will name those persons convicted on evidence of converted terrorists and the appropriate sentences passed on them.
