However, since 1 May 1979 projects for which offers of selective financial assistance were accepted, or which were allocated Government-financed factories, promised to provide over 72,000 jobs. A split between manufacturing and service sectors is not readily available, but just over 11,000 jobs relate to projects in the fields of telecommunications, radio, electronics and aerospace industries. These figures do not include all the self-employed or jobs not involving selective financial assistance or Government factories.
