Mr. Corrie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when proposals for the new structure plan for agriculture are expected to come from the EC.

Mr. Younger

Agreement on a new structures regulation was reached at the meeting of the EC Council of Agriculture Ministers on 11–12 March. Agriculture Departments are currently drawing up proposals to give effect to the new regulation and consultations with interested parties on these proposals will be taking place shortly.
