HC Deb 25 March 1985 vol 76 cc101-2W
Mr. Robert Atkins

asked the Secretary of State for Defence when he anticipates that the Dassault Falcon aircraft leased by Flight Refuelling Ltd. for use at Royal Navy air station, Yeovilton, by the Fleet Air Arm will receive Civil Aviation Authority registration; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Lee

The Falcon aircraft which Flight Refuelling Ltd. will be using to undertake tasks for the Fleet Air Arm are registered with the Federal Aviation Administration. There is no requirement for them to be registered in the United Kingdom for this role. However, the Ministry of Defence, as customer for the service, have asked the Civil Aviation Authority to satisfy themselves that the aircraft in question continue to meet appropriate standards. Agreement has been reached accordingly.
