§ 22. Mr. Tom Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from the Educational Institute of Scotland and parent-teachers associations about the standard of educational provision in Scotland.
§ Mr. Allan StewartI have received a number of representations from parent teacher associations about various questions of educational provision and about the effects of the current teachers' pay dispute in particular. I have had no direct representations from the Educational Institute of Scotland in recent months but the institute has of course made public reference to its views on the question of standards of provision.
