§ Mr. Clayasked the Attorney-General how many complete editions of Social Security Commissioners' decisions have been published during the past year; to whom any such editions were made available; what was the total cost of publishing such editions; what steps are taken to make such editions available to organisations or individuals who may wish to purchase them; and if he will make a statement on the publication of such editions in the future.
§ The Solicitor-GeneralComplete editions of all decisions are not published. A selection of the more significant decisions is made by the Chief Commissioner and these are published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office as reported decisions. Each reported decision is available to the public from Her Majesty's Stationery Office in the first instance separately in loose-leaf form. Bound volumes covering one or more years are produced later. In 1984, 97 loose-leaf reported decisions were published and are thus available for purchase by the public. These will be included in the next bound volume. Her Majesty's Stationery Office does not operate a job costing system and cannot identify separate costs relating to individual titles. The arrangements for publication will be kept under review.
