§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Attorney-General if he will list all occasions in the last three years when an alleged contravention of the Official Secrets Act was referred to him or to the Director of Public Prosecutions; and what action was taken in each case.
§ The Solicitor-GeneralNo. It would not be right to make information public about cases in which there may have been reason to suspect that criminal offences may have been committed, whether or not offences under the Official Secrets Acts, but in which, because no prosecution was in the end instituted, the question of the guilt or innocence of the persons concerned was not publicly determined.
