Mr. Norman Hogg

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will give (a) the number of deaths, (b) the number of serious injuries and (c) the number of those employed in the construction industry in Scotland for the years 1979 to 1984, inclusive.

[pursuant to his reply, 1 February 1985, c. 327–28]: In my reply of 1 February the figures for 1983 contained elements of capital expenditure excluded from figures in the previous years. The costs of administration of the constituent parts of the Department expressed in 1983–84 prices in the last five years, using the same definition of administration costs throughout was:
