asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consultations he has had with local employers concerning the central Berkshire structure plan.

None. The Berkshire county council is currently considering proposals for a replacement Berkshire structure plan. It is the duty of the county council to review its structure plans and to undertake public consultation in respect of any proposals it makes for alteration or replacement. Following submission to my right hon. Friend of any such proposals, representations may be made to him, and local persons, including employers, may be invited to participate in an examination in public into the proposals.
