§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received from the Advisory Board for Research Councils in respect of research spending budgetary allocations.
§ Mr. BrookeMy right hon. Friend received advice on this from the Advisory Board for the Research Councils on 30 November 1984 in the form of a report subsequently published under the title "Scientific Opportunities and the Science Budget 1984". Further advice was received by my right hon. Friend on 20 December 1984 and published in January 1985 as "Further Advice on the Science Budget 1984". Copies of both reports have been placed in the Library.
