§ Mr. John Fraserasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will appoint the present leaders of Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Newham Councils to the board of the London Docklands Development Corporation.
§ Sir George YoungThe present leader of Newham Council, and the deputy mayor of Tower Hamlets council (who was leader when he was appointed) are both currently members of the board. The former leader of Southwark council was a member of the board until his appointment expired in November 1984. Future appointments are entirely a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State's determination as vacancies arise.
