§ Mr. Forthasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he expects to announce the composition of the British delegation to the United Nations end of Decade for Women conference; how large a delegation he intends to appoint; and what estimate he has made for expenditure planning purposes of the likely cost of sending the delegation.
§ Mr. RentonWe hope to announce the composition of the delegation shortly. The size of the delegation is likely to be similar to that of our delegations to the two previous conferences of the United Nations Decade for Women, though there may be some reduction in the number of supporting officials.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has allocated just over £15,000 for the cost of sending those members of the delegation for which it is responsible.
