"The Health Service in England"

Mr. Cook

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, with reference to his Department's pamphlet, "The Health Service in England", he will state the total cost of producing and distributing it (a) in England generally and (b) in the Northern region specifically.

Mr. John Patten

The cost to the Department of producing and distributing the leaflet to National Health Service regional health authorities was £6,370. Local distribution arrangements were left to the regional health authorities themselves.

Mr. Cook

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, with reference to his Department's pamphlet, "The Health Service in England", he will produce a subsequent pamphlet outlining in detail the results of the implementation of Government policy on the National Health Service.
