§ 29. Mr. Tony Banksasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts if he will make a statement on the setting up and membership of the South Bank Board.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe establishment of a board of management is dependent on the progress of the Local Government Bill. The Arts Council is not presently empowered by its Royal Charter to establish such a board. Appropriate amendments to the charter will first have to be approved.
