asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what plans he has to promote radical cystectomy treatment within the National Health Service for elderly patients with advanced bladder cancer.

None. Responsibility for the choice of treatments for each patient lies with the individual clinician.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what plans he has to monitor figures in respect of the survival rate of patients over the age of 70 years resulting from radical cystectomy surgery.

We do not collect the information required to monitor the survival rates of such patients and have no plans to do so.
