§ 31. Mr. Freudasked the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State answering in respect of the Arts, if he will estimate the revenue that will accrue to the arts from sponsorship in the year 1985–86.
§ Mr. WaldegraveBusiness sponsorship of the arts has risen from £500,000 in 1976 to £15 million in 1984. I expect this increase to continue, but it is not possible to estimate future figures for any given year.
