§ Sir Geoffrey HoweThe President of Mexico paid a most successful state visit to Britain from 11–14 June, during which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister had talks with him at 10 Downing street, and I had a separate meeting with the Foreign Minister. In these meetings we were able to discuss a wide range of economic and international matters of interest to both Governments. The President's visit marked a further strengthening of our excellent relations with this important Latin American country.
