§ 43. Ms. Clare Shortasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the report published by the Association of Metropolitan Authorities on "Housing and Race: Policy and Practice in Local Authorities", a copy of which has been sent to him.
§ Sir George YoungI welcome the Association's initiative in producing the report. I hope that local authorities will heed its advice and recommendations, and will be discussing it with them at the next meeting of the Housing Consultative Council.
