§ Mr. Dickensasked the Attorney-General if he will now prosecute Mr. John Tate for sexual offences with his step-daughter Tania, then aged under 12 years, between 1976 and 1978.
§ The Attorney-GeneralIn November 1978 a report concerning such allegations but relating to incidents alleged to have occurred in about 1974 was submitted by the Devon and Cornwall constabulary to the Director of Public Prosecutions, who advised that proceedings should not be instituted. I am satisfied that that decision was correct.
