§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what are the reasons for the delays in giving consents for the following conceits at the Royal Festival Hall: John Williams on 18 May 1986, Bach Choir on 29 May 1986, City of London and Brompton Choral Society Choirs on 8 June 1986, Murray Perahia on 23 May 1986, RAP Anniversary Concert on 11 April 1986, Youth Makes Music on 17 April 1986, Philharmonia Orchestra on 21 April 1986 and the Royal Philharmonic Society on 16 April 1986 and 14 May 1986.
§ Mr. WaldegraveConsent under sections 8 and 9 of the Local Government (Interim Provisions) Act 1984 has been given for the holding of conceits at the Royal Festival Hall on numerous dates including 16, 17 and 21 April 1986, 14, 18, and 29 May 1986 and 8 June 1986.
I am not aware of any outstanding application for consent for concerts to be held on these dates, nor on 11 April or 23 May 1986.
