asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the number of citizens residing in the west Midlands county who presently earn (a) £5,000 to£9,999, (b)£10,000to£14,999,(c)£15,000to£19,999, (d) £20,000 to £24,999, (e) £25,000 to £29,999 and (f) more than £30,000.

The most recent county information on earned income is for 1982–83. Estimates based on a sample survey are as follows. The income of wives has been aggregated with that of their husbands.
