Mr. Corbyn

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government have raised with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees the question of the relocation programme of Salvadorean refugees from the Honduras border back to E1 Salvador.

Mr. Renton

Her Majesty's ambassador in Tegucigalpa maintains regular contact on all refugee matters in Honduras with the local representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Since 1983, we have given over £1 million to UNHCR and other relief organisations for humanitarian programmes in central America. We have also contributed about £725,043 to such work through the European Community.

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when the two Salvadorean army officers are coming to the United Kingdom.
