Mr. Fayellasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will give details of the changes which have taken place within (a) Stockport education authority, (b) Manchester education authority, and (c) local education authorities as a whole between 1978 and the last year for which figures are available in respect of (i) the total number of teaching staff employed and the wages bill in respect of such staff and (ii) the total number of non-teaching staff employed and the wages bill in respect of such staff.
