§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he has received about the case for restoring the following drugs to the National Health Service prescription list: Alprazolam, Asilone, Dimotapp tablets, Dolasan and Equagesic; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeWe have received a number of letters and other representations about these drugs. The Advisory Committee on NHS Drugs will be free to reconsider at any time the need for these drugs, either on its own initiative or in response to representations from doctors or the pharmaceutical industry. Formal representations have already been received in respect of asilone and dimotapp.
