§ Mr. Pendryasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will examine the circumstances under which, under the enterprise allowance scheme, unemployed people who have set up their own successful business and who are in receipt of the £40 per week allowance, may have to repay the whole amount because of the effect of the rules of assessment to income tax under schedule D, case I and the incidence of class IV national insurance; and if he will make a statement.
