§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeMerton and Sutton health authority's own domestic staff were responsible for the cleaning of St. Helier hospital for the period from 1982 to 13 January 1985. Responsibility was then taken over by Mediclean, a specialist hospital cleaning service. The health authority anticipate that this change will produce savings of £800,000 a year which they will retain to spend on health services in the district.
