§ Mr. Dykesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he is satisfied with the progress being made in changing certain aspects of the United Kingdom securities industry and in the deregulation of certain activities in the United Kingdom stock exchanges.
§ Mr. FletcherI consider that the stock exchange is tackling the process of reform thoroughly and as rapidly as the significance of the changes admits. For the rest, I shall very shortly be laying a White Paper before the House.
