§ Mr. Johnstonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the proposed date of completion of the new trunk road entering Mallaig; and when the road improvements to continue the double width road from Lochailort to Mallaig are expected to be completed.
§ Mr. AncramThe scheme for the new trunk road entering Mallaig will be ready to start towards the end of 1985 if outstanding objections can be resolved. Depending on site and weather conditions, construction may take up to two years to complete. The preparation of schemes to improve the remainder of the road from Mallaig to Lochailort is continuing.
